Notification has been received from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) warning of Forestry Closures “Mount Mee Forest Reserve and State Forest, Samford Forest Reserve, Bunyaville Forest Reserve, The Knoll, Witches Falls and Palm Grove sections of Tamborine National Park and Brisbane Forest Park headquarters (including Walkabout Creek Wildlife Centre), Boombana, Jolly’s lookout, Bellbird Grove, McAfee’s lookout and Camp Mountain lookout sections of Brisbane Forest Park are closed until further notice following severe thunderstorms on Sunday (16 November 2008).

The Environmental Protection Agency is currently working to re-open this area as soon as it is safe to do so.
